INSTAGRAM and NVCN

If you haven’t taken the leap into Instagram, then NVCN wants to help you get
up-to-speed!

Instagram is a social networking app made for sharing photos and videos. Similar to Facebook or Twitter, everyone who creates an Instagram account has a profile and a news feed. Pretty straight forward, right? It’s like a simplified version of Facebook, with an emphasis on mobile use and visual sharing. Just like other social networks, you can interact with other users on Instagram by following them, being followed by them, commenting, liking, tagging and private messaging. You can even save the photos you see on Instagram. It is almost like one-stop shopping. Instagramers can sync their photo sharing to other social networks, so Instagram photos can be posted directly to Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Flickr, and Foursquare.

Instagram Handle: @NVCNetwork

Our Instagram will be used to promote different Caregiving Organizations across the country. We will be communicating special events going on with each organization, along with different programs and opportunities that arise for each program. If your program doesn’t have an instagram page, NVCN has just uploaded an amazing annual to help you get started.

Download the Instagram Step-by-Step manual below and/or check out this: video tutorial.

With everyone on board, programs can easily network with each other and observe other programs achieving goals similar to your own.

Please help us connect by using these hashtags on in the “Caption” option when posting photos. The hashtags we are using are:

#volunteercaregiving

#faithinactionvolunteers

#nationalvolunteercaregivers

#localvolunteercaregivers

Also, using the “Tag People” option of the photo posting process, please tag @NVCNetwork to notify the page when a post has been made, as it can then be shared onto the NVCNetwork page as a promotion. Questions? Please email us at socialmedia@nvcnetwork.org
