FAQ

How does my organization’s participation in the 40th anniversary help my local program?

The campaign is designed to gain awareness, recruit volunteers and encourage donations. One of the easiest way to participate is to use the hashtags #volunteercaregiving, #faithinaction, #neighborshelpingneighbors in your social media posts.

Why do I need to use these Hashtags?

Hashtags are the easiest way  for us to find each other.  No other movement uses these hashtags the way ours does.

How do hashtags work?

Hashtags not only allow us to find you, it allows you to find other organizations like yours.  With hashtags, we can easily share and assist your social media efforts in reaching broader audiences.  Using hashtags is how we make it “go viral”!

Why is it important to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the national organization?

By celebrating the 40th anniversary of the national organization, your local organization will join us in gaining greater awareness while also showcasing the longevity and integrity of volunteer caregiving.

Do I need to use everything in your 40th anniversary toolbox to participate?

Not at all.  The more you use, the more impactful the overall effort will be.  The toolbox is intended to provide quality social media messages to promote volunteer caregiving.  While we are launching this endeavor around the 40th anniversary of volunteer caregiving, you might be surprised to see how timeless most of the posts are.  NVCN understands that your organization may not be celebrating 40 years.  You might be celebrating 15.  Just remember that your organization has the benefit of 40 years of demonstrated practice.  That integrity is worth sharing with your community.

Who is participating in the 40th Anniversary?

We’ve launched a google group dedicated to using the 40th anniversary toolbox.  Join the conversation and present your questions and concerns at:  https://groups.google.com/g/task-force-40

Can I customize your 40th anniversary toolbox items for my organization?

Worried about the color scheme?  Size?   You’re not alone.  Please reach out to the Task Force so we can help you adapt the visuals to meet the needs of your organization.
